Hello,
On one of the trucks, volvo 780 with d13 engine. I noticed that when in morning before I start driving soot level shows on about 25% and then in about 30-45 minutes it jumps to 70-80% and it asks for parked regen. Its happening usually daily.
Is ti normall to have soot level go up so quickly? I dont think that parked regen should be happening daily?
Edit:
I forgot to say that today when the soot level jumped high in about of 25 minutes of hwy driving in got back to 20%
Volvo d13 often parked regen and quick soot level increase

How old, how many miles, and when was the DPF serviced? If you idle all night it is not uncommon to regen shortly after reaching highway speed. You either have a plugged DPF that needs service or you have something wrong with the air to fuel ratio creating a lot of soot. I drove a 2012 Volvo D13 as a company driver for a year and a half and it never had a parked regen.

DPF clogged with ash and / or ruined from coolant contamination

We saw sometimes the insulation inside of the flexible pipe at the turbo outlet broke and fall on the top of the DPF and generate a situation like you explain.

Could be a faulty Soot level sensor I have 2017 D13's and newer. We have been crawling all over our Regen Systems lately. Now sure what type of system you have, I have the stackable cannisters on our older models and the 2018 have a huge side mount.

Thanks for all replys, the solution was changing batteries. I checked them just in case and they were way to low so I decided to change them. Now 3 days on road and no issues with truck at all.
