Volvo D13 Starting issue

    I Have volvo D13 2015 with 1050000 kilometres. It’s having random long crank hard start problems. No problem starting early in the morning even in winter but when the engine gets warm its gives this problem once in a while, keeps on cranking but doesn’t want to fire up. I’ve had the injector cups and fuel filter housing replaced recently regarding this problem but still same issue. If someone can help please reply

    I think you may be better off by asking the moderators to move this question to the diesel mechanics sub forum. You will probably get more help there.

    There are several easy diagnostic steps you can take without spending a lot of money. First would be to get a fuel pressure gauge on the low pressure fuel system and verify that you have a reliable, consistent fuel pressure.

    Next, with a scan tool you can see what the engine ECM is reading from the high pressure fuel system. You will be able to see the commanded fuel pressure and the actual. These would be my first steps.

    Does it have a Davco style filter? If so check that its not letting air back into the system... Ive had 2 or 3 trucks do almost that exact same thing because davco was leaking air back into the system and it would lose prime.

    Thanks man i found some bubbles in the davco filter i don’t understand how mechanics missed it
