Here you go people. This is how a person who inderstands the system can figure out what could be wrong with the system and on what you need to focus on next. Off course those values could be affected by many things prior to the ATS system like injectors, turbo, egr cooler, diesel and def quality etc. But without performing service regen and looking at all the things that @nasriza described you will 100% fail on diagnosing a truck with an issue.
So thank you @nasriza for the great post.

@Val77 Nas and many others are very helpful. This is nothing new if you have been here for any length of time.

Here is some help for you and others
@ Social Xpress -
Here is couple of things i want to point out all you guys can think of and may be changing.
The 2 most common things i found that affect the DPF and SCR are bad diesel and bad DEF. I'm sure that many of you can relate to:
"SCR Performance Low. Check SCR system or engine will derate soon"
Well that is most likely caused by one of the 2 things i pointed out and addressing those could highly benefit you.
1. DIESEL - if you are using diesel that is 20% Bio blend you will have lower combustion temperate and will affect DPF and SCR efficiency. Do not use any diesel from Pilot/Flying J as there is only 20% blend. We've did a lot of trying and research and found that Loves, Shell and Exxonn have blend of 5 to 10% percent and since we use those issues related to diesel quality are 0 !!!
What you want to look for is the color of diesel prior to filling up your tanks. Yellow or Brownish color are NOT GOOD! You want to see greenish/ blueish color or no color at all. Just simply drop some fuel on the ground and you can determine that .
2.DEF - the Diesel Exhaust Fluid is a mixture of 33.5% urea and 66.5% purified water. If that mixture is not right - lets say you have more water content than it will not turn into amonia once sprayed into the exhaust stream thus the chemical reaction when in touch with the paladium coating in the SCR will not going to occur and NoX PPM output will exceed the allowed by EPA
07 , 10 , 13.
And year ago ive did some testing on DEF from the pump and what i found was astonishing. 17 out of 20 had very high water content. Then i tested 2.5 gal jugs and only 2 had it - which were less known brands. We started using Blue Def from Walmart, Mennards etc. And i never had to drain def and clean the def thank. Some extra help here will be a DEF tester about $30 or testing strips about $70.
I hope that help -

Yes and truck is in shop for 3rd time with this problem. Don't no how many more parts Volvo can throw at it. Before it is fixed correctly. Seems like 3 trips to 3 different shops is the major figure. After the 3rd shop usually dont have same problem again.Val77 said: ↑@mover man

this is 3rd or 4th time someone told me to disconnect speed sensor. Can you give me any details on this? Like exactly WHERE THE HELL IT IS AND exactly WHAT IT LOOKS LIKE? That would be much appreciated. Thank youVal77 said: ↑Disconnect the speed sensor and drive to a shop to get a service regen done. If you dont have any ATS parts that are not working properly you should be able to get home and get it fixed.
Diesel quality and DEF quality are the most crucial part of ATS. I will look at that in the long run. Give me some details so i can help you. Volvo is my favorite LolClick to expand... -
this is located at the end of you transmission right before the output yoke, it's a 2 wire sensor depends if you have auto or manual that will change the plug and location. if on passager or driver side if i shift its on the passager side if manual usually on top or left side of yoke.mover man said: ↑this is 3rd or 4th time someone told me to disconnect speed sensor. @CoyoteExpress
That your personal choice my man - and it's a good one. If i was you - with limited or no knowlege at all as far as Aftertreatment Systems sphere is I would go ask @nasriza and spend my time with him because he is good......very good. Now that being said - if you are here only here just to right something but not to contribute for people who need help - my advice is to go back to Facebook or Tweeter or something - you could be more valuable there my man.
As TheReal Donald says - you are fake media Lol
