here's a link to look up your own fault codes:
http://www.volvotrucksemedia.com/ProductDetail.aspx?ProductId=2061
I bookmark the page for future use. mid 128 sid 146 is your #1 EGR valve. mid 128 ppid 124 is EPG 1 -
ok so how can I check the epg1 and air valve price for this are kind of high epg is $950 and air valve that controls the epg is $550.if it helps I do hear air from that area every time I accelerate .this sound started about the same time I got the epg message.

Dis you ever figure out how to check them both? Im having this same problem

If you get a loud noise from the turbo area when you accelerate, it's either a cracked EGR cooler flange, cracked EGR cooler pipe or broken EGR cooler pipe clamp. When the EPG valve on the exhaust goes bad, you get an air hissing noise coming from inside the exhaust system at idle when the engine is cold.
