I had to replace the right headlight assembly after wife and deer didn't see eye to eye. I tell you, the difference is night and day! gonna replace the left one soon. It makes a big difference seeing the road at night. the assembly runs around $300.00

Now I found a problem with HID. Easy to solve. When you disable current monitoring of LCM some ballasts do not work anyway. The problem is that BTS powerfet got internal short circuit protection. It is impossible to disable this protection and some ballasts are with very high start current, over 15A. The only way is to bypass LCM with relays like on EU cabovers with HID. LCM reads fault codes when relay is bad but no fault code if ballast is bad

Yeah, that's how I had to wire my HID's, with their own relay's since mine pull 15A at startup and the Volvo couldn't get them running.

I found a product by Mothers that is a polish for headlights. I used it on mine and it works very well. Big improvement.

Thanks, but this yellowing is not on the outside of the headlight, I've kept that clean with a polishing compound. This yellowing is on the inside now.
