I am experiencing the same problem. My speedo is inop and 1500rpm max. All was fine yesterday. This morning I installed a power inv. and this afternoon no speedo and a check ecu warning. I used the trucks diagnostic menu to find a communication error. Could I have caused damage to the computer by connected the pwer inv. or did the sensor go bad just sitting? Can I test the sensor?

A lot of these sensors are located after the output seal so they are in the elements. They do swell and get stuck and you have to find some way to get them out. Drilling is one way. Had to do more than one this way. The O-Ring isn't used if it is located after the seal.

Does anyone know exactly where the cruise control sensor is located on a 2004 volvo super 10?

I've lost my speed. The maximum is 50 m/h.
A friend replaced the pump that cleans the windshield wipers.
After it, I started experiencing the speed problem.
Never I had this problem before.
What could it be? -
usually wiring
What engine do u have? -
In the past I had speedometer issue along with engine brake and cruise control.
I changed the speed sensor located on the tail of the transmission and everything was fixed.
A few months later I lost power and replaced the EGR sensor and power came back.
But now I lost most of the power and no codes appear on the computer.
Don't know what to do.
