Really wires run to VECU throught MCFC connector (chassis-cabin)
U can find wires 500-501 (twisted pair). They run to B6-B20 pins on VECU
just rewire to be sureTun Thanks this. -
Today I'll replace the speed sensors and test drive it.
Will let you know.
Thanks! -
One of the speed sensors had a little oil. The other was old.
Unfortunately the truck is still the same.
No codes to read and speed 50 m/h max.
I took it to the Volvo dealer. We'll see. -
may be u have other problem, like low fuel pressure and engine wont running well
Javier Carrillo Thanks this. -
It's at the Volvo dealer. I'll let you know.
Thx. -

Leo, VSS is always installed on tail of transmissin
If VSS signal is bad VECU limits engine RPM.
What kind of VSS is used - it depends on tranny brand and market. For US vehicles magnetic sensor is the most popular. But with zf transmission switched type (really hall effect sensor) may be used.
In EU they use tachographs and it sends speed data to VECU and engine ECM.
So depending on tranny brand pulses per DS revolution differ too (16 ore 8). -

for datalinks and can lines volvo use twisted pairs
with the same problem i use to rewire. cut and put new wires
