Hello friends, I have a 06 Volvo with ISX engine, which does not mark the speed on the board, I have this code MID 144 SID 191 FMI 5, check the operation of the gauge, change the VSS and rewire the 500/501 cables, check the fuses in the battery box and I could not solve the problem. What can I do now? I will appreciate your answers

Hi, I bought a 2007 Volvo vnl. The person I bought it from changed the motor from Volvo to Cummins ISX15. First none of the gauges was working, so I bought a 2012 cluster and I get everything working except the speedometer. I also changed vecm, and still nothing. Can anyone help?

Hi Miggz, you can check the connector below the operator's side of the cab. I had the same problem, I just gave it maintenance, and it worked fine, you can also check the vss connector on the transmission

    Hello all,
My 2008 Volvo 780 was having similar problems as many of you. No lights on dash. When I truck was accelerating, the speedo would go down. It would at times cut out at a certain rpm when accelerating.

I replaced the speed sensor and checked he wiring to it first as many have suggested. Did not fix my issue.
I then replaced throttle pedal. Did not fix my issue.
After more research a found a post about tightening the 2 3/4” nut on the tail shaft of the transmission. I got under my truck and could physically move the driveshaft at the tail of the tranny very slightly. Went and bought the socket and tightened the tail housing nut and got about 1/8 of a turn out of it (marked it with a sharpie to tell). Low and behold it fixed the issue with my speedometer going backwards.

Not saying this is everyone’s problem as I’m sure all issues are not identical, but if you have checked everything and not the tail shaft, it would be a good simple and easy idea.
