i dont undarstend what is your opinion about ,thath is just your gueasing!!!! if you dont own a volvo and you ve never drive one dont complaint then, cuz parts and everything is much bcheaper then petye and kw, i ve been driving volvo for about 5 years , all my friends own them and we are pretty sure is best on the market, my compoany has 200 volvo ,no coimplaint and problems you said, they try pete and freighliner and these truck sucks, expensive parts and labor and this is a good opinion, you need to follow the time and technologyu and learn all this stuff cuz it is not to get your life to be sucks, it's to give you comfort ,good mpg , so on so on
don't get angry what i said but that is the truth, lot of people i meet they saying good words abhout them or want to change their truck for volvo !!!! be safe and good luck

Volvos are just plain superior on ride, manuverability, noise level, visibility and ergonomics. I had a brief interlude where I drove a Pete 379 and a KW900. These are comparatively crude machines from a driver comfort perspective. I had real problems with dim headlights but finally convinced the company to put new headlight covers on, the old ones were really oxidized. Viola! 50% increase in light.

I have this same problem and my boss doesnt really seem to understand the gravity of the situation...maybe i should take the headlights out of hus BMW and replace them with a couple $5 walmart flashlights???

The foglights on my volvo are completely pointless as well, not only do they not put out any usable light, they blond other drivers and are generally annoying. I wish there was a way to get them working right as well. The only lights that work great on mine are the high beams, i adjusted the headlights up a bit so the lowbeams would throw farther, but because theres only one adjustment screw on mine, the high beams are aimed way too high now...wth man??? These trucks are just absolute garbage, the electrical system is screwy too, kept having the truck shut down because the computer claimed the alternator wasnt putting out enough juice, turned out that the regulator is usually set too low on these aftermarket Delco Remy alternators, if you have an exterior regulator post on it, you snip that junper wire, crimp in 22k Ohm resister, shrink tube it and wrap it with a few layers of scotch 33 electrical tape (not the cheap stuff) and voila!! Problem solved, and everything in the truck works better, lights brighter, maintains battery charge at idle with every thing turned on, stays between 14.1 to 14.5 volts at all times.

Kind of a vague question. For the most part 13 and 14 are really good years.

I'm trying to decide which truck to get I'm supposed to be going to Quality company leasing out my truck and become a lease operator for the first time and I'm not sure which truck I want I don't believe I can afford the Kenworth or even want a Peterbilt to start out but I do like the Volvo and the Freightliner they said they have 2013 and 2014 Volvos with I shift and they also have 2015 and 2016 Freightliner but I just heard that 2017 is the last year Cummins is making motors for heavy duty trucks so I'm trying to find out which truck I should get since most of Quality Companies fleet has Cummins motor I don't see very many Detroit Diesel or Volvo Motors.

I don't know where you heard that from, but Cummins is not ending production of Heavy Duty Diesel Engines.
