I have a 2008 VT 880 and its got some issues, doors have the infamous rust issue on the bottom, worn out door mechanisms etc. Also need a new sun visor, seats, interior LED lights would be nice.

I'm also switching to a 2.64 rear which would most likely be whats on any newer 780s, again, running a tape measure around and doing a visual inspection, they seem to be the exact same as the newer 780 I was comparing it to.

From what I can tell this thing is identical to the 2015/2016 VNL780 I used to drive, the doors look like they would bolt right on off a 780.

Anyone know if there is a way to check comparability for sure?

My plan was to purchase a wrecked 2015-2018 VNL780 and start pirating parts off it and putting them into my 880.

Check with a body shop on doors, rear end till bolt up if difference between the ratios need to recalibrate your speedometer,. .264 is usually for a direct drive transmissions ,what do you have..

    I have a eaton RTLO - 20913A with a 3.36 rear currently.
Finals on it are .86 and .73 in final pocket so it will basically run the same RPMs in 11th that in runs in 12th now, but it will give me that extra gear for doing 70/75 in TX.
I also run very light dry van stuff so usually only gross 50-60k if that.

door will bolt right on and rear ends depends if they are meritors should be bolt on as well pretty much everything with dash and door panels is all same. the only difference mainly in that truck is the hood and the engine i believe everything else should be #### near identical from 780
