Volvo warranty

Did you have a question on it or just a general question? Gonna say it is no more different than any other major truck.

 

I knew a guy that had a new Volvo with their extended warranty. I was surprised when he said they have engine hours limit on their warranty. I had Detroit with 600,000 miles parts a labor warranty, no engine hour limit. So basically on the Volvo engine if you idle a lot you could run out of warranty before any miles limit was reached.

 

Volvo extended warranty is a per component warranty.

 

I paid for the extended warranty on my volvo and only used it once. It actually was a good truck as far as emission trucks go, tho I would be scared to own one out of warranty.

 

It’s expensive and very exclusive imo.

 

i purchased one new Volvo 780 in 2007, and was covered bumper to bumper for 1st year, and engine warranty was 250,000 miles only with option to buy extended, than in 2018 i purchased a Volvo D13 reman engine and comes with 350,000 miles.

 

Most newer Volvos are iShift (automatics) and the warranty on the iShift is 750k. Personally I think it's pretty phenomenal.

I have had little trouble owning a Volvo out of warranty for the last several years. Averaging about $20k in maintenance costs per year, that is everything including trailer and all tires.
