Volvo with VED 12 engine

    I had the same problem about a year ago, it took a long time for the engine to start, it turned out to be the cam sensor that sits in front of the engine. Also Second sensor sits on the flywheel, they both work together. Ohm out the sensors should be around 650 to 750 any more them that, they are bad.

    Cam sensor aka engine position sensor. Been there done that. Take almost 10 seconds to start or restart before engine warm up before changing it. The bad one only worked after the engine hot.

    And I cut corners by splicing the wires to the sensor without having removing the alternators and stuff to reach the plug to ECM. So easy.
