Now that I have driven a few Volvos, I will say I love them over any make of truck. The truck in particular was 01 610 with a cummins N14 celect plus engine. No problems at all and was very comfortable to drive. At 5'11 I had no trouble finding my sweet spot. My favorite tool is the Volvo computer system that tells me my mpg, volts, etc. FYI, Volvo has been offering ESC since 01 on its trucks as my 01 and 00 had stability control.

I do have a sweet spot for the prostar though. My friend drives one and loves it. Very awesome truck when equipped with the cummins engine.

there fine until they break then you can't find parts and if you do they cost an arm and a leg

 

I don't understand why pwople keep arguing about trucks. There is good and bad in every model truck.

 

I'm wondering what planet you just arrived from, you can't get 2 truckdrivers to agree on what time it is, let alone something that might involve an opinion!

 

I own all Volvo's and they are top runners... althought I thought they would get a little better mileage.. but if your running 52 + what kind of mileage can you expect anyway...

 

Don't know how badly built US made Volvos are but euro built Volvos beat US trucks in reliability hands down. The last Volvo I drove 1.2M km with almost zero problems then my boss sold it and next owner has now reached 1.7M km without any bigger problems. The one I am now driving has 650 tkm, only oil changes done. And I am not even fan of Volvo trucks..

US trucks in Europe has regular electrical problems and all parts are shaking loose or wearing out, they seem to be built like Harley Davidson.

 

Volvos do cost more to work on but they are alot more driver friendly and comfortable than others and seem to have alot better turning radius to. Can put in pretty tight spots and turns. IMA
