um we all pay taxes!!! We work our btts off for this country, and travel it all day everyday. If anyone has a right to vote, it's us! Oh and as far as info, please tell me what you cannot find on the internet? Have you met every person you've ever voted for? I sure haven't. Also, I can find out a lot more from doing research than I can from sitting 'home'.

Also, I served this country around the world! So anyone who's deployed cannot vote???? I cannot believe you even said this.

To the OP. You can get a UPS box address, it's considered a home address. Do everything with that. It's even on our license. Don't have a 'home'. When we're off we stay with my parents.

off topic but how does GOD play into any part of this thread? no one said anything about it prior to your preaching, i dont believe in the bible and do not like seeing it here. its a sketchy thing to bring up in a public forums. but dont take it wrong its your choice to believe in a book written by man and i dont condone your belief as i would expect you not to condone my disbelief in it. if i choose to believe in a god it would be norse gods that you try and claim isnt real that is an opinion of yours and not everyones so keep it to yourself or in its own thread thanks

the op voting is a right no matter what you do for a living and can be done if you really want to vote...

stexan its not up to you to decide who can and cant vote your argument is invalid just cause i dont spend 70% of my time in my home town/state i still have the right to decide what i want in my home town/state as that can still affect me and my family and friends

CharliGirl..Come rain sleet snow I will be in my district to vote! Amen
    STexan:
Having a piece of property or a rental is NOT residency. Many people have multiple properties, condominiums, vacation homes or investment property in several States so no State considers having a house or mortgage as "residence."
In my case, we were buying a house, we did and still do have roots in our home State, but over the years, we became "homeless. And, my wife has relatives in most states. Should we have to vote in Florida because Aunt Helen owns a trailer park. Should we vote in North Dakota where another aunt owns a farm? Should we vote at our parent's house? My wife would vote in one State and I would vote in another...Or should we vote in the State, the One State we chose as Our Home?
Multiple Jurisdictions..This thread is about how difficult it is to vote in one jurisdiction..and if that is so very very difficult...don't even think about two :)
Being involved in the community..Newspaper are online and you can read your hometown news every day..and know about the issues and care very much about the place you call home, even if you are often far way.

To get a CDl you need to register an address. This could be a friends address or even a UPS post office box with a physical street address. (not a po box) In any case you can vote apsenty in whatever state your cdl says your in.

I don't consider voting a right, but an obligation that we have as American citizens. I have always voted. Before early voting, I voted absentee if there was a question as to whether I would be able to get home to vote. We have about a 2 week window in my area when we can vote and I prefer voting in person rather than absentee. Some jurisdictions don't count absentee votes unless the election is close, so I have been told. If you don't vote, then don't complain about what is going on in the country. These days we have about 20% of the population who decides who will run this country. I hear a lot of people complaining, but few take action. Voting is not difficult to do and everyone who is eligible should be voting. I do think that some who can vote should not be able to vote, but that is another issue. There is absolutely NO excuse for any driver to not vote.

Then why was this included in your post ?

But you may be right . Let's look at the definition of politics

    http://www.thefreedictionary.com/politics
According to that politics does not include voting , campaigning , citizens giving their opinions of politics .
Politics involve the economy , foreign policies , and various committees for health , education , and labor .
Voting concerns none of the above for many . They ignore these issues so they can vote on self serving issues like same sex marriage , abortion , or keeping a defense contractor employing them busy .
