Every citizen is born with equal rights . Some groups want preferred treatment . Our political leaders should be elected according to the key issues that benefit the state or country . Then once elected the self centered groups can try lobbying them to act in their favor .

W R O N G...I don't agree neighbor...but I can only assume we will have to agree to disagree..Not going to debate bc we are on different side of the fence and strong in our convictions, and when you come across someone as strong in theirs as you are yours,it just turns into arguing. However I'm glad you vote and are "involved" in trying to make things better instead of being just a talker.
    All votes are important.:biggrin_25517:

So you are saying it's o.k. to decide which candidate to vote for based on how they stand on one of the following - abortion , same sex marriage , immigration , or even allowing legally deaf drivers to operate CMV's or on their skin color and ignoring how they stand on the economy , foreign policy , taxes , or other critical issues .
All I can say is you are not a minority

Lol....again,I'm VERY strong in MY convictions!!! And I'm extremely diverse!!! If you "profiled" me,you'd be wrong,so again if you think everyone is born with equal rights, you are equally wrong. This country is FAR from being equal neighbor. But we are moving closer and closer.Just leave it to we all need to vote, whether its home or absentee... Just bc I don't agree with you, doesn't mean you have to agree with me, that doesnt bother me in the least, but I think we both agree "voting" is important,no?

Yes and there can be a difference in opinion without arguing . What we do agree on is everyone should vote . Some would disagree on that saying a certain amount of intelligence should be required but you don't have to pass an IQ test to be a citizen . I just object to dead people voting .
I'd like to see an election where the candidate was truly elected by a majority of the citizens not by the majority of 30% of registered voters that actually voted .

Gore and Romney's sentiments also I'm sure...lol ...btw.no I am not a "one issue voter" far from it.
And yes you can engage in a debate w/out arguing "for normal Joe Shmoes" but with 2 people that
make it a point to study, research, and invest their time as ( I assume you do as well) we do,it gets brutal bc :biggrin_25517:
we are so passionate about our issues... But fortunately also have something else in common..."trucking" lol
