Anyone have a way to install a CB in a late model W900-L without drilling holes ?
The factory cubby above the windshield won’t fit any thing larger than cobra 29

so either I got to figure out a way to get my superstar mounted without drilling any holes or find a very powerful cobra 29

anybody made a bracket that mounts to existing bolts ?

I like the above windshield location
Leaves the dash clean , but I will consider whatever ideas y’all have used

    thanks

I use to have a tweaked and tuned galaxy 959. Fits the same space

How much power does your superstar put out? If you dont want a " high powered" 29 ( will not sound good anyways if its ben modded) there are several radios being made ( Galaxy,Stryker, Mirage) that are 50 watt radio's that are same size as 29 and will fit in cb tray. I drive a T680 and have same dilema, would love to use Galaxy 99v2 but for now just use 29 or 980.

As long as it fits in the cubby

I have no idea how much power the superstar puts out
But it will reach and receive about twice the distance of my peaked and tuned 29

can that plastic surround be removed and reinstalled when needed?

the tray and strap is what is needed. that surround is more cosmetic.

an alternative is to see if you can buy the tray and mod as needed......

I think the overall space is enough, just not with that surround.

The at 6666 is nice and same as stryker 447hpc2 but w/o side band..
Just not a fan of the cooling design..It needs to have air flow to cool if your gonna be ling winded @ higher power levels..

Are there any hd mount points in the above cabinet that you can use that already have bolts to use? Can always use factory radio bracket with a cpl holes drilled..

    Can’t drill any holes
It’s an assigned truck no one else drives it but owner is meticulous about the condition

No not drill hole in the trk in the radio bracket itself, then use exsisting bolt holes to mount if any..
Im like you i dont believe in drilling hole in a trk..

Didnt like my 955 in the cubby hole of my 19 cascadia..Almost bought the older cascadia dash mount bracket then someone here mentioned dbl sided sticky tape...I wasnt to keen on it till i gave it a try....
On the previous version i used the upper cabinet vent holes for a bracket i made..Then i drilled the bracket to attach my radio bracket to and ran my coax/pwr/gnd to radio....Gotta be creative sir..
