Sorry for being late to the party, but here is the information that I know. Coolant temp sensor is a 5V two wire thermistor.
On the N14, the sensor is located on thermostat housing, item #2.
As far as connecting with scan tool, good luck finding an adapter! Celect used a two pin weather pack to connect to datalink. I not sure if anyone sells an adapter anymore. Most just flashed out codes. Truck had a switch to flash faults or you had to short a plug.mile marker 27, BoxCarKidd and 062 Thank this. -
Ok so I have check voltage to temp sensor and everything seems ok I checked the vent breathers on fuel tank and fuel sending unit and everything is good. I went for a ride yesterday and I notice oil pressure is staying put at 20 psi when truck is doing 1500 rpms so next step will be change oil pump. I don’t think that’s the issue but I have to do it either way

Finally got it fix truck was loosing power due to oil pump not being able to pick enough pressure at 180f so did an oil change and that fix the derate problem then truck didn’t want to boost over 20 Psi so I looked for the switch to flash code and founded flash them codes and I got 222 ambient pressure sensor check the harnes and everything was good so I went to Cummins for a new sensor and I had to get a pig tail for the new sensor because they updated tha sensor so conector are not the same Cummins sensor #4359572
Pig tail #4384743BoxCarKidd Thanks this.
