I have a 2019 W9 since September. Within 4 months the front steer mud flaps sheared off right where the fender and bracket clamp it on.

Had them replaced at KW and the same exact thing happened within 2 months.

Kenworth would not cover it under warranty.

Anyone else have the same problem? Thanks.

How long are the ones that were torn off? If too long when you back up they can get under tire, if the flaps are thin they will not last long.

    Oxbow and MartinFromBC Thank this.

Factory flaps. No where near the ground. Just seems like flexing in the wind sheared them right at the fender.

    Oxbow Thanks this.

Had the same problem mine lasted almost 6 months thou bought a good heavy duty mud flap and made my own I think its the cheap crap the dealers are putting on mine did offer to replace mine for free but it was easier to just do it my self.

Yep. The ones they put on mine looked like some recycled, compressed garbage. The flexing just caused them to break loose.
Dealer would not honor any kind of warranty.

I then purchased the nice rubber Kenworth flaps with the chrome weights. Installed myself. I think they'll work out well.

    Oxbow and baha Thank this.

I just cut down some flaps and replaced mine. I have tried several times to buy them from KW here and they are just not interested in getting them.

    Oxbow and Hegemeister Thank this.

If you're around a rock quarry get some old conveyor belting. We use it for mud flaps and for runners on our lowbeds.
That stuff is tougher than Chinese arithmetic.

EDIT...don't cut the belting too long to where you can catch it under a tire while backing. That stuff will do some damage before it breaks. Better to V-notch your bolt holes and not take a chance on damage
