Yes you can run 14 all the way.
There are a few tunnels and your GPS might yell at you, saying no overhead clearance ahead. Couple of the tunnels have a 12'10 sign at shoulder.
    I've never
    Hit anything with my condo.

It is a pretty run. Oh and cheaper than running Oregon side.

So a couple hills a few towns. Total time might take and extra 30 minutes at the most.

If your heading to Tacoma and dont want to pay the whole Oregon permit fee from Ontario to rt 5,.. its just as easy to drop off 82 through Hermiston/Umatila and use 14. I've done it with both reefer and flat bed.

If you have a truck specific GPS its going to cry and scream about low clearance for like 3 or 4 tunnels that are posted 12'9 if I remember correctly. How ever,.. if you go slow and straddle the middle,.. 13'6 will clear just fine through all of the tunnels. They are short,.. maybe 600 ft. Just have to watch out for traffic.

I've done it in the winter,. but there was no snow or ice on the roads. Twisty scenic route,.. so dont expect to make any time up taking 14. The only reason is to be cheap on the Oregon permit. Nothing else to be gained except a scenic route.
