As a sidenote to this, I got onto Ebay and found that Schneider was selling webastos they had pulled out of fleet trucks and had did reman on them, new fuel pumps, etc from their parts stock for virtually a song. I picked up a reman 2000stc unit that looked fairly new with new burner and chamber, and a couple of new fuel pumps for something around $600. My existing webasto, the pump had died. Changed out pump and runs like a champ. Now I am set if the webasto goes out. I can just do a swap and reman the current one at my leisure.
fargonaz Thanks this. -
$600 is a lot. For that price you can buy even a new Planar bunk heater with 2 year warranty.
Ebay is a great place to buy things, but like 99% will not have a waranty.
I purchased 3 years ago a Autoterm product Planar heater. Heats me up like a profesional.
Only once had an error code....called official support....talked 4 minutes and followed instructions and i was set to go to sleep in a warm bunk.

Webastos are good, but sometimes to complex for me. Planars were made easy, so they could be fixed easy. Give it a go !
Pluss the price between these to manufacturers are day and night....
Sleep warm.fargonaz Thanks this.
