    If they signed the bills without marking OSD.... get the hell off the property and if they call later, tell them they must've lost it after it was pulled for the trailer.

    Only claim you ever care about is one they want to mark on the BOL.

    Does no-one sign the bills "S.L.&C." ? I do on every load I pick up. I am not responsible for the count and that's to CMA. Some BOL's also have boxes to check "loaded by shipper, counted by shipper" check those also.

    It seems to me if the shipper was short a pallet, they should call the consignee to explain the situation to them before giving you the bills. That way if the consignee says ok that s fine ship it and correct the bills to the right amount of pallets, or no we need that pallet, you re not getting to the consignee playing the back and forth game between the shipper and consignee over being a pallet short. Once you sign those bills and sealed up, that s on you until you get to consignee
