Wait til you hear this......

As long as you have your hard copy CDL they can't "stop" you from working anywhere.They can nail your DAC and make it hard for you to go somewhere else but apply around and explain the situation.I think enough of these companies know the games CRE plays and will work with you on it.

Consider yourself lucky you got away now.Some people stick it out way too long and wind up digging themselves into a hole.

 

You are right, something doesn't add up here. I'm inclined to go along with the semi-retired who said "Sounds like something else and they used the road test as an excuse." No idea what it could be, but maybe you managed to make an enemy somewhere along the line.

Just had an idea as to what it could be. Did they try to talk you into a lease that you refused? If so, THAT is probably the reason. Just more CRE bullexcrement.

I've got no idea whether or not you are gonna wind up having to pay them "back." They can probably screw up your credit rating, and mess with your DAC. You say you have an O/O who is willing to take you on? I'd go for it in a heartbeat. IF IT IS A REASONABLE DEAL.

I have to agree with most of the above, it does seem you made an enemy somewhere.

I agree, continue to talk to other companies, or as Don said, go to work for your friend, if it is a good deal.

That enemy would have to be kinda far up the food-chain, though I would think. How much interaction would you have with that type of person at the new driver level? Or, could it have been an enemy made at a customer site? Or, it could just be as simple as CRE JUST PLAIN SUCKS!

 

I have to agree with that for sure. CRE just plain sucks.

 

thats exactly what i did 9 years ago.company who trained me gave my route to another guy so i quit and never received the bill,they tried couple of time than gave up.

 

Sometimes, we can have super talent, and still not get the job. It may be that a comment was taken as negative, or you reminded the examiner of his mean father, who knows. People are unpredictable, and it might have been as simple as he was just jealous of your abilities. Remember, "those that can do, others teach...."
