7 years from the last date of write off on that account. If you pay anyone after that time including a debt collector, they can re-age the 7 year rule. Either way your score is hit hard.

I understand your point, but I shouldn't still be under contract with them if I was terminated. If there's a loop hole in which England can terminate you and still hold your cdl hostage if money is still owed to them, then that's aa serious problem. I'm even thinking of getting an attorney regarding the firing. It was clearly unjustified.

HotH2o- I'm not here to contest what I know or don't know about credit repair but I do know a few tricks or 2. Any negative or positI've information can be removed from one's credit report.....take my word for it or Google it.

I'm not concerned about what will reflect on my credit report.

I would fight it based on a scam. You owe me money for training based on the assumption that said training is for the job that you were fired from before you could even start. Either they didnt train you or didnt feel like obliging you with the job. Either way something dosent add up

Guys....there's no way I would let a negative account hit my report, ding my credit scores 50 points, then stare at the account for 7 years. SOL (statute of limitations) don't anyway because debts are always sold.

Let's just say I'm up for this credit challenge.... but I don't know....the driving evaluation was like basic math and I failed.....getting items removed from a report is like geometry so I may be in for it. Not really....

I really appreciate your honest feedback on my situation guys. I'm reading all your thoughts and respect them.

Im not saying things cannot be removed from ones credit report. What I am saying is that you, personally, cannot remove things from ones credit report whether you own a credit repair service or not. Only one of the 3 major credit bureaus can do that. No offense but the advice given by someone who chooses the absolute worse trucking company is taken with a grain of salt. Poor choices often go hand in hand with poor advice

That's known as 'zombie' debt. Yes, your old debt can be purchased by a collection company, and yes they can call you to try to collect on it, but they cannot list the debt on your credit report after 7.5 years has passed from the date of the first default. That is, provided that you have not taken any action to revive the debt. Even acknowledging that the debt is yours can revive the debt and restart the statute of limitations on the old debt.

So no, they can't begin the process all over again unless you do something that allows it.

Something's weird about this situation. If a trainee at Swift fails either the driving or written test after they complete their hours behind the wheel in training, then they are assigned for additional training. It would be unheard of for a trainee to be "fired" after failing a test...

... unless they really really screwed up on a driving test.

There's simply too much invested in getting the trainee to that point in order to fire them. Schooling, then orientation and hotels, the trainer's time, etc.

Either personnel at CRE had a hard on for the OP, or perhaps the OP made an unforgivable error during the road test. Hard to imagine a lowly trainee drew such a high profile "hard on target" that he would be fired for no apparent error. According to the OP there were no errors during the road test.

    I'm at a loss...
