Sorry Spin i get lost in the post sometimes. Hey maybe you can answer this.
Do I have to have my passport by the time i start orientation? And can you tell me how many Miles I am likely to get once I get my own truck?
Will they usually route me through Ohio?

You better call your recruiter for that one. If it is possible to go train without it you might want to. Training pay is a flat rate so whether you're getting some of that Ontario freight is irrelevant at that point.
I bet you'll be in Ohio at least once every 11 days!

The passport date is June 1st, but as Spin stated you should call the recruiter. If nothing else, at least apply for it as soon as possible.
We are in western PA and go through OH at least twice a week over the tollroad. -
Thanks Cheryl and spin. Once every 11 days LOL. Thanks. I did call today he said he would just restrict canada the first evol. Then when I get it to let training know.
Cheryl is it safe to say if I am refer I would get through ohio that often? -
On refer, I'd think you'll go through Ohio much more often. Usually when I talk to a refer driver, they're hauling a load of cheese from Wisconsin to the east coast.

Thanks for the response. I was hoping for that.

I've got one more day on evo1, after spending most of last week with a flatbed trainer we logged 2900 miles in six days. I'm still having a hard time down shifting but over-all I get better everyday, so I'm not worried. I've been fortunate to have some very skilled trainers and I've been eager to learn, even if it's not exactly what I'll be doing when I hit evo3. I'm home for a few days and hope to hit evo2 this weekend, it would be nice to get it all wrapped up this time out, but I'll have no control of my schedule. I'm still impressed with Roehl and just want to stay focused on getting through my training.

great info BaBA I appriciate your update. I am gone in 12 days

Most new drivers that have problems with the down shifting are not removing the pressure off the clutch as they rev the motor. Really make sure your foot is clear of the clutch when you rev and only rev 300-400 rpms up and then shift. It comes with time.
