I would be thankful for now, but know that at some point in time it will likely rear its ugly head.

that they don't start processing them until they hear from you !!!

Compliance, Safety, Accountability. Made a few phone calls. Got a recording every time. Left a message each time though.

Is the "CSA" a "Report" I can order to see if I am okay regarding anything on it? I already ordered my DAC from Hire Right and received it Monday. There was no record of me even being a trucker on it (having completed training to be a trucker!) I completed Prime's training in '08 (obtaining my CDL and doing 60,000 miles with my Trainer), but then didn't continue on.

Yeah these recruiters do a lot of juggling. Initial contact, then, starting the process. Depending on the size of the company etc, they might do a lot of the paperwork, or, have some grunts chase down info needed to hire you. Waiting to hear back can really take time (the company waiting to hear back from previous employers etc.) Now factor in a phone that never stops ringing with potential drivers asking questions about the company /benefits/hometime/equipment/orientation/advances/vacation time/rider,pet policy/miles per week and on and on. Then consider how many newb are trying to hire on, THEN, consider how many newbs get hired, and don't show for orientation.

Looks like I need to give them at least a couple of weeks. I'll try to be a little more patient.

If you're applying to the mega-carriers keep in mind, those recruiters get hundreds, if not thousands of apps a day! Your best bet is to give it two or three days after filling out the app and then call them to follow up on it. Actually I take that back... your best bet is to avoid the mega-carriers! Either way you want to follow up on your app a few days afterwards. Never wait for them to call you. That could be never. The squeaky wheel gets the grease!

Try applying at the smaller companies, I think you will have much better success.

    Goodluck man...
