Everyone, keep it in perspective; he's not looking for a job, he's looking for prehire letters. Just because he gets a prehire letter doesn't mean he has to take the job. He needs the prehire letters for school admission. After he's in school he can apply anywhere he wants and throw the prehire letters in the trash; his call.

Is this your rationale for the likes of Western Express and Carolina Cargo??????????????????????
These 'suggestions' don't do the OP any favor!!
When I see companies like this touted makes me throw up.
Seems like the same people over and over trying to slide the same terribles in alongside the decent. Just compare CSA scores...
Ugh!Last edited: Nov 18, 2013
Shadow Captain and randal02lee Thank this. -
The lower the CSA score the better. Check these horribles listed above:
Here is Western Express 96.1% Driver Safety, 51% HOS, 78.4% Vehicle Maintenance: http://ai.fmcsa.dot.gov/SMS/Data/carrier.aspx?enc=4bc7bHvVeYVdb9OOIeFUqg==
Even worse, Carolina Cargo 96.6% Driver Safety, 63% HOS, 73.6% Vehicle Maintenance: http://ai.fmcsa.dot.gov/SMS/Data/carrier.aspx?enc=68ohe09g86YJaA8WMxt2hA==
All the CRST flavors are bad. Here's CRST Malone 95.3% Driver Safety, 83.2% HOS, 80.6 Vehicle Maintenance: http://ai.fmcsa.dot.gov/SMS/Data/carrier.aspx?enc=GpeQ1DZTvMdRuJtvQ6P9qg==
Here's TransAm, same ol' same ol', 90.7% Driver Safety, 66.7% Vehicle Maintenance: http://ai.fmcsa.dot.gov/SMS/Data/carrier.aspx?enc=kmVQvu1N71KQGCzDdLpGLA==
An alert means these outfits are targeted for enforcement. These companies don't belong in a list with the likes of Gordon and Schneider. Seems the same people trot out the same dregs again and again. For shame.
Gordon just acquired by Heartland, by the way. Student program still running and GTI still picky about CDL school you go through.Last edited: Nov 18, 2013

Go 2 sites like www.bubbajunk.com there are more but what u do put in general app if interested they will call/email u
G sites like these keep u from putting a million apps. Different companies go to similar websites. So google it go 2 them all put 1 app in and wait good luckaaronb Thanks this. -
I am in school in Phoenix also. How did you do your applications with Werner & Swift? Did you mail, fax, or online and did you call the local recruiter after you sent them in? I did mine online and then called in and talked to the recruiters and had them pull and review my applications then. Also got pre-hires from May Trucking, CRST, Stevens, and DSW. Werner should be a slam dunk since AIT is the local school in Phoenix that they use. Good luck!aaronb Thanks this.

The recruiter sent me the apps because my computer wouldn't download them for some reason. She received them yesterday[tuesday] i was under the impression she received them last friday.

So I finally have a prehire with swift I think that's going to work out just fine seems they're in Phoenix. Does anybody have any tips about Swift. I start school on 14 December. And I'm doing the 18 weekends. All the help I can get would be great thank you.

Make sure all of the information is correct on your application (criminal history, DUI's, Drug charges, accidents, drivers license suspensions, etc.) Too many people have gone to Swift and numerous other carriers thinking that something wouldn't show up and then they found out they were getting sent home shortly after they started. Swift doesn't pay the best, but I have heard good things about their training from one of the instructors at our school. The starting cpm is low, but if you can stick it out you can probably do good. Swift trucks are everywhere and they have the freight. Good luck.

I made Sure everything was correct. All I needed was a prehire and I can go to school.
