The prices of 3-4 year old used trucks going back to $50k - $60k is more than possible. Maybe in 6 - 8 months...
-
The trend is there.
2018 T680
Opendeckin and DUNE-T Thank this. -
It is still too much to my liking.
But...how much is a brand new T680 specd for a general freight...$190k-210k?
The alternative would be to get that Arrow Truck Sales Paccar KW for $75 000 ...after some huddling, spent $10- $15k on a complete aftertreatment overhaul, than 20-30K on whatever else is going to pop out in the next 50 000-100 000 miles, and it is still a decent value for the truck.
The payments should not exceed $2000
with 20k down payment.
At this setup, you're still able to withstand the pressure of 2 - 2.5 dol a mile freight at $4-5 per gal diesel, if you are not planning go beyond the spot market freight. -
That's what I always say to my children. If you don't have those two have enough money to pay or it will stay broke. They have me for now so they save.

D.Tibbitt Thanks this. -
Or you can get this if he drops the price by 50k

not the Cascadia way……Blue jeans and D.Tibbitt Thank this.

Couldn’t pay me enough to take that……

Well if you must know, I paid zero for the truck I'm driving right now. I took a pay cut and borrowed it from the owner for the time being. But prior to this truck I've never had a truck payment since buying my first one back in 2009.

There's a revolving door for new truck owners. Also a similar one for people who are experts at other peoples' business. Neither seem to actually go away over time.
