Waiting on New Trucks thread.

I don’t know. I just saw one of those Lemon International’s, an 08 for $20k. It looked real good. Someone’s gonna get burned on that one.

 

Which thread did someone post that 300k western star glider in last week was it this one?

either way it was a semi local to me and it didn’t even make it through the weekend before selling

That was me. No it was in the flatbed section.

 

Its all simple supply and demand. 2021 was a mess, and word has been trickling out from different manufacturers about severely reduced capacity for 2022 with trailers and trucks. This problem is only going to get worse as long as the freight volumes stay high. Look around for a low mileage good truck...there are next to none. Your average o/o isn't buying these high priced trucks, its larger companies with contracts that don't have a choice.

This will all work itself back to normal, but who knows when that will be. The prices have gotten so high that we're selling off some of our equipment and will take the reduced cashflow in exchange for the insane prices. I can sell a truck today for 2-3 years worth of cashflow profit. I'll watch from the sidelines and dabble in other things in the meantime if the equipment sells. If it doesn't, no big deal to us.

 

Well did you get to go pick the truck up? Wondering if any issues with the build since it set for awhile.

Wow, they've made quite a few changes. That air cleaner is completely different than mine with the same engine. The chrome mirrors make a big difference when it's clean. I had the steel chrome front bumper too and loved it. Nice looking truck, glad you finally got it.

 

The only thing I don’t like on those new ones is the black on the side skirts. Other than that I think they’re sharp.
