Yes you can definitely make white work and put a sweet stripe on it to make it stand out but I’m holding off on buying anything after getting a trade value on my unit. New trucks are priced too high and trade-ins too low so something has to give. I’m just waiting until new the trucks to start filling up the lot. Orders do not mean sells.

You’d have to be very confident in a freight rebound to go out and pay a $230K for a new truck now.

It is still not 12 months though. But close to 11 months. YAY. Hopefully, we're getting to the end.

Driver today hit a low power line and broke a couple poles while taking out also the front bumper. Should he be fired?

Police said it had been reported low many times before but nothing done. Driver should have noticed it or is that part of doing business?

Driver has been with us 3 yrs. Will the company try and blame us? Should we blame them? Should we fix the truck and not say to anyone?

We’ve had platinum safety scores from our insurance for 2 yrs running. Maybe just fix ourselves and act like nothing happened?

    Small fleet decisions to make….

2000$ fix . If it was a truck route and the power lines were low . I dont think electric company will come after you if not truck route then maybe involve ins if anything goes over 10k .

I'm not sure, but I believe any utility on a public road must be at least 15' high. Obviously many are not, but perhaps, if true, it may sway your decision?

ETA: Perhaps involving your insurance company makes sense if this is true, but I would want to verify that before contacting them.

This has come up many times, in many communities. Regulation has been passed that require utilities to hang lines above a minimum standard, for safety. It’s definitely higher than 13’6”. Utility company is at fault.

What is his work history like with you. Does he always make on time delivery’s, not coming up with every excuse in the book why he can’t come to work?

Do you have apps for drivers looking for a job?

Remember, his replacement may be a lot worse than what you have.

I’d say you have some decisions to make:D
