    Update on coolant in oil
So as per jx peterbilt "tech" . Its either road grime or moisture. My mind boggles on that road grime ######## . How can road grime get into the engine and then deposit underneath the oil cap and on fill tube.
I asked him to explain 1 gal of coolant every 2 months and white smoke from exaust staks under a load and the answer was take it to cummins dealership they can diagnose it better.
Seems like most of these dealership dont want anything to do with warranty work as they only get paid for the time they work and cant add ######## charges. This will prob be my first and last brand new truck .

The condensation on the fill cap is normal with ambient temp swings.

9 times out of 10 you have a cold external coolant leak that you can’t see. Some evaporation loss over time is normal.

If you do suspect internal loss. Oil sample time.

I dont think consumption of half a gallon a month of coolant and white smoke under a load is normal on a truck that have 48,000 miles . My old isx had half a million miles on it and took maybe half gallon a year and no white smoke. Oil sample is what cummins going to do first thing friday morning . I did the external leak check by running truck overnight on high rpms and laying white sheet on cardboard underneath the truck and didnt find any leaks .

I have heard very bad things on cummins when it comes to fixing stuff. Like using oil and coolant is not an issue unless it used an extreme amount. Seems they are very shady when it comes to doing the right thing for owners. So far I have had good results with my Volvo D13 but who knows down the road. I fill sorry for you having to deal with stupid stuff like that on a new truck.

I believe I have a small leak on my bottom hose to radiator. I have added about 2 gallons of coolant in 80K but I seen it drip only one time. It only leaks when running hard and heavy loads. I think the hose expands from the heat and pressure and then leaks. They did a pressure test and did not find anything, So go figure. If I keep having problems I will just replace it without warranty coverage.

I have been dealing with peterbilt/paccar for a whole year at this point .first my truck had a death wobble that they refused to fix/acknowledge and i have to get the paccar midwest rep involved for them to even look at the truck . Still have the issue and according to them its normal for a long nose to have a death wobble. Truck was out for 2 months and they refused to give me a rental either.Instead of fixing the issue they talked about how i cant pay for the truck and it will prob be repoed soon and they will buy it for cheap from the bank . Have an actual audio recording of that conversation. Took it to a reputable kenworth dealer for the same problem and he found the issue in half a day but couldnt fix it as its a peterbilt. Now there is engine problem that they cant figure out either and told me to go pound sand and deal with cummins myself. I have a lemon law case against them as my state covers semi trucks under lemon law but i am pretty close to put them on blast on motha trucker show at this point .
