Yep I agree. Only thing I would add is that a 1/2 mpg better for you vs me would be worth more to you then to me. Since you would be buying more fuel. Either way that would not determine my set up or yours if a person is happy with one’s set up.

I’m saying when something is a 15x12 box it doesn’t matter what you are using to pull it. Your fuel economy is going to be crap. You are just plain wrong here. The load and the trailer can absolutely rob any and all gains!! Go ask your hero “Joel” he seems smart and maybe you will believe him.

And that half mile per gallon is most likely due to much lighter tare, less axles on the ground, perhaps less rolling resistance rears as well as aero design.

A half mile per gallon is decent, but again the only actual “aero” that I can get built factory heavy haul.( big frame, big steer, etc…) is a Volvo. And it’s not an aero. Same cab as yours but the tanks are exposed. Much more ground clearance. It’s actual a pretty nice truck.

Well it is quarterly ifta reporting. And they may do up to 120. I’m most always at 130 or greater. I can’t say as I’ve ever seen a real true aero truck pulling anything real big. But I guess we are all just burning money for no reason

There was that one company a while back. They had gray 4 axle Volvos and were getting nailed for moving stuff without permits on their 3 axle steps. Those even had side skirts.

I miss seeing their pics on the Internet.

I’ve only seen a couple actually out in the wild. I looked at some brochures when I was in the market. Looked pretty comfortable
