Like the others, you’re making the load a variable of the tractor. Throw that out. Tractor to tractor, same load, the aero tractor will mileage better. We’re only talking about the tractor. Not the gearing, engine, transmission, paint color, or anything else.Rideandrepair, Feedman, Long FLD and 2 others Thank this.

Hey Dude!
IH9300SBA, Siinman and Jubal Early Times Thank this. -

But that’s not necessarily true. There are some loads that are just so aerodynamically horrible and pull so hard that it doesn’t matter the styling of the truck. The fuel economy will be basically the same. You don’t automatically start at +1 mpg because it’s an aero.

Feedman, Ruthless, Brettj3876 and 2 others Thank this.

If an aero truck is spec'd crappy it won't perform any better or worse then a well spec'd flat nose truck.
-
That is a messy day to start out with. Glad to see you got them up and going. Very nice set up!Jubal Early Times Thanks this.

There are a lot of trucks spec’d horribly on both sides.Feedman, ducnut, Long FLD and 1 other person Thank this.

No doubt, And I would guess well over 75 percent at this point are spec'd wrong for the job they are doing.ducnut and Jubal Early Times Thank this.
