Look at the pics of the interior. You can see it on the dash.

I have to think that someone will come up with a work-around for that at some point if the demand for it is there.

We don't put enough miles on a truck to warrant thinking about buying new. The only way it would make sense is for taxes, but we are far better off purchasing more heavy equipment rather than a truck.

That said, what Elkhorn is doing would be worth looking at pretty hard if we were to look at upgrading our trucks, at least for our use.

Pretty sure they still have it. The guy down the road from us has 10-12 Macks and has a few newer mid roofs. 2 are brand new he got probably about 6 months ago

A new truck would last you guys an eternity. The only drawback I see in your situation is the area you guys work. If it did go down(and let’s face it they all do) it would be a royal PIA to get it repaired. I also agree that your business would benefit more from purchasing heavy equipment than another truck. But if you really want another old 4 axle…

No, I just hate how they look haha. Pulling a smooth bore tank I’m sure it’d be beneficial. An aero advantage for pulling a bottle would be negligible in my situation as we may drive 300 miles on a lot of two lane but also sit and run a pto for at least 3 hrs/day. Most guys I know get mid to upper 5s in the winter regardless of truck.
