That’s the question I’ve been wondering.

If I didn’t feel like Truck Movers, and the like, were such a scam, I’d go into that industry.

Joel says he’ll be posting up a trip summary, on him using this rental truck, sometime this evening. Just incredible!

Speaking of Joel I read a article summary on him in overdrive I think. He was saying these downsped trucks are having less emission issues . I guess it probably makes more exhaust heat which in turn keeps dpf clean I suppose.

He, and the other mileage guys, religiously use additives, which have a big impact, as well. The cetane booster he uses enhances the combustion process, so there’s less soot to hit the DPF. Also, being less aggressive on the throttle produces less soot. Less fuel burned for the same miles produces less soot. Almost no idling. There are a lot of things going on to contribute.

He wrote an article where they put a cetane additive in one of his brothers trucks and let it idle for like a week and it never went into a regen, to prove how complete the combustion process is.

His truck was at MD Alignment-Michigan. But, no idea why he flew to another state to grab the rental. I saw his trailer was hooked to it and know he did a mess of shows, so I’m guessing he dropped it elsewhere, until he finished with the show circuit. He’ll post up, when he gets time.

If we’re drawing the line of criticism at whether or not a person has commercially produced products, you need to be the first to shut your mouth, lest you have a list of products yourself. Go ahead and produce one, we will all wait.

    Sure, sure.

The camera watching anyone in a cab tells me all I need to know about that operation.

When you get off the paved path, it becomes a possibility. Not so much a worry if you’re swinging doors and following a GPS.

It’ll definitely build heat in a pull at the RPMs they’re claiming. Between that and the bit less of fuel at those RPM ranges, it can help the DPF, but the hotter the combustion chamber, the more NOx it can create. Not to mention all the stresses, physical and thermal, on the engine itself.

I wouldn’t want to be that guinea pig, but others can sign up. I won’t stop em.

D.Tibbitt, RedForeman and Oxbow Thank this.
