    Add a mountain man hat.
Maybe I should buy one. Save $2000 per mo, on fuel. Pay $1000 mo. Payment. Wonder if I could average $9000 per year maintenance like now. That’s for Truck and Trailer. Trailer is t much. Brakes and tires mostly.

Takes 5 seconds to push them and remove them. Just lazy if you are worried about that. Most won't even look with or without it on. Ha Ha

Lucky if someone does a pre trip at all except sitting in the seat

That is the case on almost everyone. I don't do a good enough job on mine but at least I look at it every day while on the road. I do a good check when fueling every time as well.

Rideandrepair, JoeyJunk and Feedman Thank this.

I used to rotate a cut off dipstick to different trailers. Didn't matter, O/O or company driver, did you check the oil? Of course i did. Just for fun let's check it again. Hard to check with a short stick. Well, I always do except this time.

O/O or company, all my lights were working until I pulled into the yard.

That wheel seal just started leaking, with enough oil on the rear ends dripping to do a 1000' gravel road.

Could go on and on. Some check, some don't.

Ha ha I love the cut off oil stick. Catch them lying every time and know what kind of person they really are. If I had other drivers I would be pretty hard pushing that Pre Trip. Being the owner of a truck and driving is one thing since you can look it over. Being an owner with someone else driving would be hard to just trust people with out checking the work habits. 200K is a lot of money to just let anyone ruin your truck let alone the business itself.
