Waiting on New Trucks thread.

I’m just curious why Kenworth techs aren’t allowed to work on their own engine.

 

I always felt that Paccar only cared about their bottom line. They couldn't care less if they sold a lemon because they are like Apple or Harley Davidson, the fan boys just line up line with their blinders on and their wallets open.

 

Unless the computer tells them exactly which part to change their stumped.
Lets face it the dam things are over engineered and to complicated.

 

My experience with my local Pete dealer has been the opposite. Peterbilt in Garden City also had knowledgeable techs the one time I was in there with the 2019 I had. The dealers can send their techs to training for the MX13 same as they can to get them Cummins certified and Cat certified before that.

 

id have a hard time paying the invoice if they cant show me and prove that there was any work done to the truck..

 

Kind of like Cummins, sorry we sold you a pos wel try to do better next time.

 

Cat is even worse

 

My first blame would not be on the driver for an automated transmission issue.

The clutches can be abused just the same as a manual trans.
