And yet they’re still going and still getting people to sign up for their lease purchase plans. The first time I seen an ad for them was back in the 90’s when they had big bunk 379’s. Pretty impressive to have a 30 year run of suckers lining up to pay for your equipment for you.

So a question for y'all looking to buy equipment - under what circumstances would you take you 7 and 9 year old sons to look at a truck? What would your response be when the dealer refused to let the kids accompany you on the test drive?

 

If I had that age of kids I would not mind taking them to look. Not sure I personally would take them for the test drive but if I did and they said sorry they cannot allow it. I would ask why and my assumption would be an insurance issue. If the is the case no big deal I understand/ If not the case F Off I will go somewhere else.

 

I’d never take kids to business transactions.

 

It was never their equipment to pay, they are just a glorified independent contractor with no bennys

 

That’s what I’m saying. People lined up to pay for Hurricane’s stuff thinking that they’re owner operators, and with drivers coming and going their trucks are probably paid for more than once when it’s trade time.

 

Hurricane express had a bad reputation back in the nineties. Didn’t know the crooks were still in business. Heard about these ######## back in early nineties.

 

How bad is their lease purchase program? Anybody got a link to check out ?
