I don't even understand how they can justify that price, while it's probably no different than any 2019 W900, other than it being a limited edition with a few different interior markings, all the other components are nothing special, typical spec'd O/O W9, but yet around 80K higher than what you would have paid 4 years ago. No thanks, beautiful truck but not worth over a quarter of a mil to me.

How can a trucking company survive with that much dead weight that isn't producing revenue?

Well I bought a truck this past week so I'm going to retire the weekly updates of the bloating inventory of trucks for sale. I ended up going with the 579. I would have gotten the 389 but it would have been $42K more and I couldn't justify it. I'm not going to lie I was having regret not getting the 389 but after really calculating the fuel savings it subsided lol.

The 579 is not a fully O/O specd but not a standard fleet truck. It has a 500 Cummins, disc brakes and goes to point A to B. I got it for $197K. Everyone knows how long I've been looking and I do believe them when they say they are making pennies on the deal.

So now I'm down to one 389 in the fleet. I'm going to see how the new one performs and probably trade that one in and spec one the way I want it. I think part of the issue of having some regret was the truck wasn't specd like I wanted it but sometimes you make concessions for a good deal.

I only drove 1 579 it wasn’t bad but had many issues with wiring routing plus the air compressor to air tank hose was routed over transmission. In less than 50,000 in our salty winters it rubbed through.. if you get the chance to crawl under check for potential rub spots on that stuff.. mine was a 2019 model with paccar Cummins might be routed differently or changed over the years..
