Definitely but I don’t know anybody who would want to splurge $185K on a new truck right now. If I was a cash buyer and looking to start or expand the fleet I’d go straight to auction to buy.
There was another dealer that just received 3 T680s because, shocker, the buyer backed out. Loved the trucks but they aren’t accepting trades. The salesman said I should just take my truck to auction. I laughed and said no thanks and good luck (mentally I was thinking I’d find a new job if your employer handcuffs you like that).
Waiting on New Trucks thread.

Stupid question but can anyone just go to an auction or do you need a dealers license? How do you find them? Back and forth on a new trailer or maybe going with a good used GD will work better for me then the utility did,

29 more units for sale over last week. It must be pretty bleak out there as I actually 2 trailer salesman cold call me this week, which should have been an omen to what happened last night. My 13 month old TK S700 was lit up like a Xmas tree with codes. All codes relating to sensors. So at 11PM last night the internal debate started, do I want to pay a minimum $1,000 service fee or risk buying $70K of meat. I chose doing the service call. You know this couldn't have happened during regular business hours. This is the 3rd service call I've had this unit in 13 months. That seems excessive to me. I swear these Covid era manufactured products are pure trash.Cat sdp, Magoo1968, Accidental Trucker and 8 others Thank this. -
Yesterday, my buddy and I were talking about all the inventory on truck lots. He’d been down in OK and I’d been in metro-Chicago. The dealerships are stuffed. Let ‘em sit. It’s reset that has been needed.
