All I can tell you is a friend of mine ordered a W900 a week ago and it’s for April 2023 delivery. The guy where I park when I’m home is waiting on 2 more 389’s to show up this year and they’re telling him 2023 for the other 3.
Waiting on New Trucks thread.

Found a Western Star 5700 dealer slot ordered in April 2021. Snatched it up in August 2021. Delivery was set for January 2022.
In November i saw an article saying Western Star was canceling the 5700. Dealer couldn't or wouldn't confirm, kept saying my order was still good.
January came and went, no truck, no info from dealer. Kept checking weekly.
February comes, no truck. Mid February lost a turbo in my T680. Upon inspection might as well rebuild the engine, 750k miles on odometer. I was told a week for delivery of engine.
March comes. No engine no new truck. Mid March find out Western Star finally made an announcement the truck will be built in 3rd or 4th quarter 2022, 2023 model. Still haven't released designs, but looking at sneak peak of pics on web, looks like they are changing the 5700 to a glorified Cascadia.
Took the engine a month to arrive. Kept getting the story, "It's all due to the shipper, they're short handed."

Still, it is an investment for the long run, so the sooner the better. In any case, there is no better time to buy than when the rates are dismally low and everyone wants out...shooter19802003, JoeyJunk, Siinman and 1 other person Thank this. -
