That is good to hear. Seems like you have found a good place to buy your trucks from.

Just curious, do you care to share the ballpark price

Oh I know, but it definitely was a wake up slap to the face. It isn’t bad by any means and I’m sure once it opens up it will get better.

Just giving an update as I’m getting close to finishing up its first run. Fuel tanks aren’t balancing themselves, last night my driver said went to E as my passenger was just below a quarter (135 gal driver side, 155 pass side). Factory paint does seem a bit spotty in the sun, as in some parts seem a bit darker than the rest, although it’s faint it’s noticeable. A few dinged chrome pieces from factory. Noticed a few screws in the dash to be on the cusp of being stripped, found this out while we were messing with the dash to get the E-log wiring fished through. Fighting the wind from Laramie to Fort Bridger WY at 78k while hunting down miles had my computer average at ~4.5 mpg (not surprising).

I will say this thing rides like a dream! AG400L suspension is butter smooth, and still feels stable even if you take a corner a hair too fast. Motor is a work horse! And drinks like one too, but that’s primarily due to how hard I had it working right off the bat. 70 mph with my set up has me at 1500 rpm. I can’t complain too much, I love the rig. Just a few things I have learned now with my first purchase that I’d do different with my next.

A quick question for you guys.. if I were to add the sleeper extender fairings on the sides and maybe a small lipped spoiler on top of the sleeper, will adding those two things have a decent smooth of affect on aerodynamics? Or would it be barely noticeable? Truck pulls a 53 reefer.

What is your dims between rig and refer now? It should help a little but your arrow dynamics are not set up good for the front to flow over everything.

Let me know if that works. Here’s a link if that image posting doesn’t work: Sleeper to Reefer Distance

My problem is where my 5th wheel is set, it’s holding pretty well for putting weight on steers and drives with 41-43k loads. I think I’ll kinda screw myself if I throw on some sleeper fairings. Wucha think?

Honestly it wouldn’t be worth the time and cost unless the side fairing would cut your gap down to less than 4ft. Maybe a whale tail on the roof (not a chrome wing) but either way you’ll have to pull the interior pieces so you’ll have a fair amount into paint and labor. It’s a brick, just drive it and enjoy it.

Dang that's snug. Sleeper fairings will probably only serve to make your truck look weird and get in the way if you need to alley dock. What's the wheelbase on that W9? Most of the ones I see out on the road have a trailer gap you could drive a car thru. My Anthems are 235" (70" bunk) and I got at least 2-3 feet more between the back wall and the reefer unit. I know it's an aero truck with a shorter hood, but I never seen a W9 set up with the trailer gap that close.
