I’m young and learning a lot from you guys, so just want to say I appreciate all the advice and help! I’m soaking it all in while receding my hairline. Ha!Blue jeans, Dadetrucking305, Vampire and 3 others Thank this. -
Get the sales manager involved if the salesman doesn’t help. No way you should pay 200 grand and not get a little preferential treatment in this case. It’d be one thing if you had 100,000 miles.

There’s a manager above your salesman and there’s a regional representative above them. Keep making noise and moving up the chain and let them know you’re not happy.

Fuel Gauge - Normal? 135 gal. driver side, 155 Pass side.
Am I wrong to believe the tanks should equalize better than this? It barely put a dent in my passenger side tank and drank the hell out of my driver pretty quickly. 135 gal on driver side and 155 on pass. side. -
Crazy they don't treat a direct customer better than any walk in off the highway. But every shop out there is all behind a week or more like that.
Several months ago I had a dead miss with my Detroit engine. I was empty on my way home and wheeled it into Clarke Power Service Detroit shop in Ringgold, GA. Of course they were a week behind like everyone else but the service manager was nice enough to actually pull a tech off something and hook his laptop up to do a quick diagnosis on it. He confirmed which injector and checked the harness connections on it. Turned out it was the injector and not the harness.
They didn't charge me a dime for that diagnostic. They actually expected me to leave, never to be seen again, but an on the spot decision I just left the truck there and told them to fix it whenever they could get to it and call me when it's ready. I needed a few days off anyways.
Most shops would tell you they won't even hook a laptop up to diagnose it like that until a week later... I would hop in my truck and leave too.. They won't ever get my business either. But guess where I'm going the next time I do need some help again with my Detroit?Blue jeans, jason6541, TheLoadOut and 11 others Thank this. -
My 2020 Peterbilt did the same thing. I never bothered to take it in to get fixed. I have a theory that the more hands touch a truck, the more problems will arise. It's too difficult to find reliable and trustworthy mechanics.
