I am seeing about changing my settings from 500HP 1850/1550 Eco Torque to a 455HP 1850 High torque. Thinking it may get me a little over a 1/2 mpg better and waiting to see what the cost is gonna be. I run 1150-1250 RPM 90 plus percent of the time and that is the sweet spot on that set up.

I ain’t hatin for sure! In fact I love that your out there doing your thing.

My Dad was a big time outlaw 35 to 40 yrs ago. Although he ran 2 sticks and a 3408 at 800hp he also ran 1.5 loads at a time. It made money with also the occasional bootlegging.

Nowadays, as I just got off the phone… he’s just as happy about my mpg numbers. You just can’t run like the old days so in order to get ahead you gotta do it on efficiency and high paying customers.

Its a sad state of affairs but the reality of our day. My Grandpa started in 42 and had his own challenges. End of the day we gotta somehow keep our pride but also make money.

Like I said, I love that your out there keeping it real as possible for the old time sake. Much respect.

Talking today with a friend of mine. He bought a new Stoughton Z plate on my advice in March 2020. Paid $36k. Got a great deal. Since then he bought 6 Atros. He never really liked the Stoughton. I’ve jokingly offered to give him what he paid. Now he’s planning on selling it, for about $45k, but willing to give me a much better price. I’m guessing $40k, which is fair. It’s tempting. My 08 might bring $14k or ? at Auction. Not sure. All things being equal, a about a $26k difference maybe. About the same as pre Covid cost difference.
Probably the best deal on a Trailer I’ll find for a while. It’s a nice Trailer. Exactly what I planned on buying, but hesitated in 2020. I’m going to chew on it a while.

I really dislike all of you right now, on the BEST of days I get 4.5 MPG:eek:
My only saving grace is 80% of my jobs I get a free fuel card that I don’t have to pay off:)

Let me know how it works. I can do the programming myself. Same run, same driver and the DD15's are 2-3/10's higher

    Siinman Thanks this.

Well just got off the phone with them and now they are saying it cant be done. That setting was only for a day cab according to Volvo. I don't know what kind of BS that is but whatever. Gonna have them print out my parameters and go over all of them and see what else I can change to improve MPG's. So hopefully figure something out tonight or tomorrow on the settings.

I'll have to plug in and take a look at mine. One of them was set to take off in a higher gear and had clutch heat codes, changed it to start in 2nd. Manual mode is blocked, i leave it on for certain drivers.

    Siinman Thanks this.

Don't blame you on that one. If I had drivers I would be setting it up so they cannot mess up the dang thing. Too many people have no respect for someone else property.

    bzinger Thanks this.
