As long as i trade my level stays the same. Anything i would make above on a sale with just cost me about the same as my level would raise up. And i don't have to deal with those that have no money, want me to finance and in general waste my time.

    Rideandrepair and Ruthless Thank this.

In the Peterbilt surcharge thread someone just posted about an $8,000 increase and truck pushed to next year. Ouch.

Still waiting on my August builds. The one released still isn’t ready for actual pickup.

$8K seems a bit high for a newer model year but a 2023 instead of 2022 makes a difference if you're on a regular trade cycle.

All you guys expecting that you have your prices "locked in" may want to take a close look at the fine print in your purchase orders. Escape clauses based on language like "price changes due to external factors beyond our control" seem to be the rule rather than the exception in these documents.

Well, my sales dweeb appears to have risen from the dead, and has allotments to sell, supposedly.
    We shall see on Thursday.

As far as trucks, the Volvo 860 that was scheduled to be built early October got pushed to mid December. The other one I ordered was finally given a build date of May 2022.

As far as trailers, Great Dane has been 2-3 months behind on build dates. Was told by the dealer I use that Great Dane expects to deliver about 1/3 of normal production next year with a huge price increase. Was already hit with a $5k increase on the most recent few that came in. I was lucky enough to reserve a bunch of trailers almost a year ago and they are slowly trickling in. Everything is for sale for the right price :)

Went through the specs with KW sales guy (like this guy better than the one that retired, that one was mailing it in).

Q3, 2022. Which, is, incidentally, right on our normal trade schedule. Hope the trade will still be worth something by then.

Cummins or Paccar? I’ve been told no Cummins spots rest of next year but could possibly have some Paccar.

The first of my trucks built in August appears to be ready for pickup. I gotta talk to the dealer tomorrow. The second one still hasn’t even been completed yet.

I've been running Paccar, cheaper, lighter, and I have no confidence in Cummins based on what I see in local shops.....

Can only get a cummins in a L model last i checked tho/ no option for the Paccar in them; plus with only the Renton, WA plant producing the 900’s I’d be surprised if one could even be had in a years time from an order today.

    Fml

I might just have to order one anyway
