I need time to save but yeah I figure $50k down ought to be 25%. Who knows what interest rates will be that has a huge effect on the payment. I might say **** that and keep the cash if it's Jimmy Carter type rates.
Waiting on New Trucks thread.

You’re right, the uptime on new is good. Emissions, if you leave on does it’s job without much fuss. Not the big issues like in years past. However, I am going to eat my words here. Unless it gets damaged up bad in a wreck. I will not buy another truck for myself again. I like things simple. My opinion is, they are putting way too much tech in these newer trucks. Got mine before the digital dash and it doesn’t have collision avoidance, camera mirrors, etc. I will rather pay the cost that I paid for to redo the truck after 12 years or so.Blue jeans, ducnut, stwik and 9 others Thank this.

I saw that, but if doesn’t say that they are going to charge IFTA and hut. I’m interested in hearing the future plan.

I believe it’s on top of the fuel taxOxbow Thanks this.

I've been in a newer truck for almost 3 months now and haven't had any maintenance needs yet except for a replacing 2 batteries and a very minor headlight issue that I fixed in about 20 minutes. It had been PM'd when I got in it and won't need another one until probably February. It's got almost 510,000 miles on it and the factory warranty is good to 625,000. You couldn't give me a new KW or Pete. Freightliner with a Detroit is where it's at, the best bang for your buck.ducnut, RedForeman, Siinman and 2 others Thank this.

I remember writing a check several years ago to pay for an inframe. Another one I wish I could do over because I most certainly wouldn't throw money away on that ordeal again.RedForeman, Siinman, Feedman and 3 others Thank this.

Yes, there are provisions with IFTA for electric and alternative fuel trucks. They have a table to use to figure gallon equivalents.Siinman, Feedman and Short Fuse EOD Thank this.

You don't mention you down payment and what you pay per month for your not so new truck right now.

IFTA as well as the new HUT, correct. Current (recently re elected by the way) governor wanted truck only tolls and couldn't get them so he put this HUT thru instead.Blue jeans, Siinman, KrumpledTed and 7 others Thank this.
