I pass the interview and road test/pretrip. Background came back squeeky clean. I finish up everything on the 17th of Dec. How long does the process usually take to get a call of whether you’d be hired or not? I pray that I have the job but this process is a new experience for me.
Waiting to hear back from walmart.

You could do so much better driver. This job only pays 38 cpm now.
-
Typical answer from you, that has nothing to do with answering his questions. You are so helpful to people.

I would think first of the year, closer the the 15th of January. Holidays and all, and then the end of the year stuff these large retailers go through at this time of the year.
-
Maybe six weeks or so. After I passed the road test and all. They called my job immediately that next Monday. Then 5 and half weeks later I was called and given A start date. They were saying that it took a while because they had to get enough ppl for class. And also we had to start at the beginning of the pay period. So calm your nerves.

Stop telling only part of the truth. You don't do yourself, or anyone else any favors.
Yes, they get .38 cpm, but they also get activity pay, which can add up to as much as mileage.
Blankman87, the hiring process at Walmart is a bit drawn out. Don't get discouraged, and don't let the Debbie Downers discourage you.TransplantBadger, 06driver and Extreme4x4 Thank this. -
I should apply on line and after they complete background checks I'll ask about compensation, then I would have to inform them it's not enough and thank them for the opportunity to apply
foggy and Cream corn Thank this. -
Prolly make more and have more freedom working for the contractors out of that DC.
-
That is not even close to correct. Depending on location, drivers under the new pay scale should still make around $70K first year.............. give or take. There is no contractor that makes anything close to that. Stop looking at mileage pay ONLY. It is only one part of the Walmart Transportation compensation package.NYVET Thanks this.

They will not discuss compensation until you're sitting in orientation. Don't give up a good job for this lemon.
