Well I for one keep a one gallon jug handy in case of emergencies. Thank God the doctor changed my blood pressure meds, because the first ones he had me on created LOTS of emergencies. But I dispose of it properly, usually by dumping it in the grass behind my trailer. I would never leave a full bottle laying around for someone else to deal with. I would never put a full one in a garbage can either. I got no personal problem with pee bottles, as long as you empty them out and dispose of them properly.

You are far better off taking care of business INSIDE you truck. Peeing on your tire outside your truck can get you in trouble. There are some places where an indecent exposure charge can land you on the sex offender's list. Sounds crazy, but it has happened to people before.

They warned us in school of that risk. Seeing as I'm in Kalifornia, I took them at their word.

Now this I can agree with to a point. It does kinds tick me off when I go to a place and deliver their goods, but they won't let me park there for a bit. I am not saying camp out there, I am saying do what I gotta do and leave.

As far as city planners go....I completely agree there. Some places you deliver to, there isn't a truckstop within sight. Sometimes you have to drive for hours to get to a spot to park, just to find out the place is full up. Speaking of this topic. I got a ticket a few months back for parking in a vacant (abandoned) lot. The ticket sighted a city code of which I went and looked up on the internet. It said that there are no trucks allowed within city limits. What a crock that is! Plus it cost me $75. I don't see what difference it makes to them where I park as long as I am not in the way and disrupting daily business. So yes, I agree that it would be benifical to all to have a designated truck parking area. Heck, for as much as we pay in taxes, there should be an abundance of parking.

On a side note. Is it just me or is the number of trucks on the road growing faster than parking? It is really hard to find parking these days!

It's not just you, there isn't enough parking. I'm getting real tired of this trucker-last mentality with the industry and public! Everybody wants what the trucks bring, but not the trucks.

I80, exit 237 in NE. You can park there as long as you wish as well as several eating places with truck parking

I heard from a store that it was a company policy also, when I finally found the right people in corporate they told me that there was no corporate policy on park trucking.

I was told that this was up to the local management.

Most of the wal marts i've been into usually limit it to 2 hours or while you are shopping.

BTW, in Texas, if you get caught doing a #1 or #2 outside of the truck it's an automatic sex offenders list. Not just in texas, nationwide.

The real problem stems from "Truckers not Wal-Mart Friendly" because of the reasons mentioned in previous posts. It ain't a truck stop, don't assume you can park there. And even if it is, don't assume there's any room to park.

I agree to a point. After all it is private property. Most places don't have enough room for trucks to park. You know how it goes. You are looking for a place to park because every other place is filled up. Finally you find a spot somewhere that is outta the way where nobody else is. Then when you wake up, you are surrounded by trucks. Or you are looking for a spot and you see a driver parked some place and you assume that it is ok to park there. Again, when you wake up, you are surrounded by trucks.

Most places don't have enough parking for a bunch of trucks plus their customers. So I see it both ways. If you owned a business. Wouldn't you want enough parking for your customers? Not to mention that sometimes when you park in a place like that when you wakeup you are surrounded by cars and it is really hard if not impossible to leave. Most lots are not designed for truck parking.

Honestly, with all of the tax dollars we shell out. There should be plenty of parking places. Instead of the gov't spending our money on entitlement programs, they should use it to build parking! Heck, in what I pay in taxes a year. They could build parking for 30 trucks every other year!

shooter I agree! It's not a private business's responsibility to provide parking, but with the taxes that are paid to run a truck, I EXPECT the govt to provide safe, legal parking.

So far the only places we're getting extra parking is the old scales they can't afford to keep open anymore (which I find amusing.) That's only if they don't wall them off though.
