Add winona, mn to. Off of hwy 61. Truck designated parking in the gravel part of the parking lot. Not a pretty spot couple holes, but they dont care how long ya park there.

Any one interested, you can go here http://www.poi-factory.com and download a free file, add it to your Garmin or Tom Tom, and it will put every Walmart Supercenter into your GPS unit. This is really cool. Directions on how to install the file onto your GPS are there on the site.

Poor, Wal-Mart cant get a break there are many reasons one may not be able to park in one of their lots.

Local ordinance - you park ,they get the ticket...happens all the time, even with their own trucks!

Noise ordinance- no auxiliary heating /air unit ,dont you dare idle they spent money paying tickets for trucks and RV parked in CT that were idling...as a part of the lawsuit they agreed to outfit All of their fleet with APu units.

Wal-Mart May not actually own the Lot of many older stores and the landlord doesnt want the extra truck activity...hey its his property.

It is not Wal-Mart policy to ban or prohibit trucks in their lots ,but they usually get cited for failure to follow legal/contractual obligations within the jurisdiction where some store are located so please dont blame them for an American public that has no idea not only how crucial trucks are but just how hard it is for you to find suitable places to park and shop that are not outrageously priced....just imagine if everybody had to shop /eat/ sleep in a truck stop....whats that do for your economy!!

99% of the reason Wally got trucker unfriendly is because Wally discovered that many many truckers confused the parking lot with a toilet and garbage can. Thank you again all of those lazy slobs for taking another card out of our deck.

    chopper23966 and MrMustard Thank this.

Anyone that's worked with asphalt knows there are parking lots built for cars and parking lots built for truck traffic which uses more than twice the binder. It depends on their budget and choices during construction. Many don't know the damage they are doing to ones private property. Alot of stores will have the parking lot 2-4" of binder and the perimeter and back of the store 9-12" of binder for truck traffic. Many churches and schools you see No Trucks signs. This isn't because they don't want you there. Their parking lot is not built for truck traffic. Especially UTurns. Keep that in mind when you see No Trucks Allowed.

The new one across from the pilot in Pittston PA (I81 xt 175/175B) has signs that prohibit truck and RV parking but apparently no one enforces it...I see trucks parked in there all the time.

I broke it off in a Wal-Mart manager in OKC. When I arrived I had 2hr and 3 min left on my 14 hr clock. I walked in and asked how long would it take to unload me. I was told "Until it is done" I said " I was told you needed this stuff ASAP? " HE he said "yea we are out of meat" I said" well my delivery window was ASAP. Or NLT 08:00 tomorrow. I have about a hour and 45 min left on my 14 hr clock can i park overnight?" He says ""Since you can't read I'll read it for you sign say no overnight parking" I said" Ok" turned around walked to truck. Heard announcement that the truck with meat was there and they would have it on shelves in 45 min. Yet to get in dock I went 15 min to TA for night. Later my DM called me 3 way on cell with WM manager who ask" Why did you leave?" I said "Well since you can't read, I'll tell you my window is till 8 am, See you quarter till" Tell DM I am out of hours and refuse to repower load since I am a LO he starts to argue I tell him call me back in 10 hours goodnight. Cut cell off turn quam to silent and go to bed. Moral of story. I decide when you get the load within the window. So you might want to lose the attitude.

Also the one at Quebec st # I70 allows trucks overnight, no "dedicated" spaces though. Not sure about a 34 hour stay though. There IS a big dirt lot right across the road from it though.

Well one question to keep in mind here. Was that store and parking lot built purposely for parking your truck? I would think not although some allow short term parking for shopping purposes. Plan ahead for such cases.
