The Walmart drivers I know say they can't pass another Walmart truck. They work weekends, they work holidays, they don't get home every night, they do more than.just drive, they sleep in their trucks, they are long distance local drivers, meaning, they have multiple stops.

No multiple stops, at least it never used to be. Wal-Mart drivers are DC to store and then back to DC etc., all drop/hook to my knowledge. Your average Wal-Mart super center gets two trailers a night for the GM side and about the same for grocery but, WM drivers don't do the grocery side (Swift does around here).

WalMart drivers pass other WalMart drivers all the time... the WM drivers that pull for the Grocery DCs have lots of multi-stop loads. There can be ,ulti stop GM loads with the Neighborhood Markets stores... WalMart driving has it's issues, but for the most part it is a great driving job. Definitely do not have to worry about equipment or some of the nonsense that other drivers deal with.

I was informed by a Walmart driver that they are no longer a private carrier...they are now a for hire carrier...hence you see...

Walmart transportation LLC...the driver informed me that they even haul beer on back loads down around San Antonio Tx area.

I know a guy in Texas that says he is a multi stop Wally world driver. However, he does get paid for everything he does but he'd rather just drive.

ok we are still a Private fleet, we do grocery loads, dry remix loads and reefer loads. I am not going into the pay but what we get for multi stop grocery loads will fatten your wallet quick. we do not touch any freight ever.... we have top notch equipment and run legal 100% and make a very decent living....no company is perfect but this is by far my best driving job.... retirement home for abused truck drivers ...lol and yes we can pass our own trucks... if you work out of a GM dc its all drop and hook. we have several different schedule options, 6 on 3 off 4 on 2 off 5 on 2 off and a flex board....

^^^ some DCs have a 3 day work sched, 7/7, 3/2 which I have... Funny how much mis-information is out there with Wally World. Our recent pay raises are nice too. As long as I have to sleep in a truck, it will be with WalMart. The other good thing is that you can transfer to any other DC in the country, provided there is an opening.

When I hear the words, "get paid for everything!" It makes me think a driver does something other than drive. It scares me. Working before 9 am and after 5pm also scares me. Working weekends is the icing on the cake. Wally world is off my list.
