I like driving for them all in all... Not perfect, but no driving job is. No equipment worries or wink/wink favors nonsense either. Get paid for everything.... I still hate sleeping in a truck and working weekends my sched has them in there. It is a good job.

Because the schedule rotates your three days off will be different each week, this means full weekends off every six weeks. 6/3 drivers can use comp time to extend their 3 days off instead of taking full weeks of vacation. All new drivers get 17 days of comp time (vacation, holidays, personal and safety days) their first year. If you like time off you can get 5 days in a row off every 8 weeks or 4 days off in a row once a month. The 5 off is what I do and I like it much better than taking the 6 one week vacations I when I was at Kroger. -
I love the 6/3.... Great money and ample time off. Wal-Mart is a good place to drive for and most of the weekends that I work are no big deal. There is even a weekend differential... Pluses far outweigh the minuses.

I thought it was 10% except for groceries.

I applied online for London, KY and Pottsville, PA. Hoping for a Shelby NC or Laurens SC opening but I will take whatever they offer if they even offer. I need this! I want this! Ain't getting any younger and bills seem to keep getting higher...

Good luck Drail... I am sure Pottsville will call first. Tough and very busy DC to work out of... Whatever happens there, stick it out for a year, then transfer closer to home.
Drail232003 Thanks this. -
Got my job offer, went and got the DOT physical. Waiting for the drug screen to come back, and the criminal background check.
Looking forward to getting out of the LTL rat race, and working for the private fleet until I retire...
Life is GOOD!!! -
Congratulations! Got any tips on what to expect if we get a call?
